Over the past few months, I have noticed dramatic improvement in my playing. I am now able to read drum music, practice rudiments with speed and play essential grooves from many genres all thanks to Cat’s engaging and rewarding lessons. It’s something I look forward to each and every week, adding a new technique or skill to my practicing so that I can slot into any band that wants me for university later this year!” – Lewis, Weymouth, England

As a Mogwai fan I saw Cat Myers’ dazzling live performance in 2017 and recently have been lucky to attend her online drum tuition. She is very receptive to assessing my abilities and interests, and adjusting her lessons accordingly. Her smooth and structured teaching flow keeps me mentally focused during our lessons and aware of my progress over time. She has vast musical and drumming experience and is an excellent teacher. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an authentic, vigorous, and encouraging private lessons.”- Hossein, Cleveland, OH, USA

I hadn’t played drums properly since Standard Grade music nearly 25 years ago. Cat got the balance spot on between refreshing the basics and giving me challenging stuff to play that helped me to develop. The pace of the lessons has been perfect for me and I think Cat’s really good at gauging your level and tailoring the lessons to suit – so great for anyone from beginner to advanced. And she’s been really patient when I constantly try to play too fast!  It’s also pretty cool to be taught by someone you’ve seen killing it playing live many times!” Derek, Edinburgh, Scotland

Great classes, progressive and adapted. Very encouraging teacher. Fantastic to take lessons in English with an amazing drummer from Glasgow! The lockdown allowed exceptional encounters!” – Aurel, 14, Angers, FRANCE

Cat is a great teacher, and her lessons are relaxed and friendly but also pitched at just the right level to challenge you to improve. She’s also happy to teach anyone of any standard, even an old novice like me! Can’t recommend her highly enough.”  – Keith, Perth, Scotland

My 14 year old son started drum lessons with Cat at the end of March 2020, just as lockdown in the UK started. He had only been playing for just over a month and was just starting to get the hang of it when his drum teacher told us that he was unable to teach online.

Woody came away from his first online lesson with Cat beaming! He’d thoroughly enjoyed the lesson and had found it so much more useful having someone who would actually demonstrate what he was supposed to be doing rather than just following pages from a book. The Zoom platform seems to work well, both with visuals and audio and Cat always sends through his homework straight after the lesson.

I think he’s found it inspiring learning from someone who is not only out there playing, but playing at a very high level. He’s motivated to practice and we can certainly hear a huge improvement listening to him every day.

We would certainly recommend Cat to anyone wanting to learn the drums, whether a complete beginner or someone wanting to up their existing skills.” – Evie, Orkney, Scotland
