Sep ’14 / Oct ’14 – Croatia, Thomas Lang, Gerald Heyward, Theatre, new band & new tours..

I finished August & started September in Italy and Croatia! Thanks to Creative Scotland I got to spend some time in the Croatian mountains at Croatia Drum Camp receiving master classes, private lessons & hanging out with some amazing drummers including; Thomas Lang, Gerald Heyward, Justin Scott & Pier Foschi. I made a bunch of new friends, was completely inspired & learned more than I ever guessed I could in a week!

The day after I arrived back in the UK I was straight into rehearsals in Glasgow for a show called Blabbermouth for the National Theatre of Scotland. It is a 12 hour gig split into 4 sessions which will take place in Edinburgh on the 17th September the day before the Scottish referendum. It will be a live celebration of Scottish music & spoken word where artists, actors, politicians, journalists, sportspeople, singers & scientists will perform their favourite bit of Scottish writing.

The same week I left Croatia I picked up a last minute tour with a band called Honeyblood. I’ll be away  between Sep 18th & Oct 16th playing a UK Tour followed by a European tour. When I get back to the UK I’ll be picking up where I left off with Discopolis before heading out on an NME Tour with Honeyblood in Nov. You can find all the latest tour dates on the Honeyblood website here.
